Friends: as you may be aware, we have had a great loss. Dr. Dhan Prakash Rastogi (1939 ├óÔé¼ÔÇ£ 2010), the Homeopathy legend, known as the ├óÔé¼┼ôWalking Encyclopaedia on Repertories├óÔé¼┬Ø left his earthy life due to cardiac arrest at his home at 9:30 in the morning of December 15th. He lived with his wife, one son and two daughters. Dr. Rastogi was one of the students of Dr. B. K. Bose (a student of Dr. J.T. Kent). Dr. Rastogi had been teaching Repertory and Materia Medica since 1975. He had been Principal of Nehru Homoeopathic Medical College, New Delhi, Delhi University (1975-1984). He authored Golden Tips by Masters besides publishing case reports and use of Indigenous Drugs as Common Remedies. Among many other awards, Dr. Rastogi had been given the Life Time Achievement Award by the Homeopathic Medical Association of India. I personally had the privilege of meeting Dr. Rastogi twice in Toronto of Canada, and to learn valuable lessons from his wisdom. He was extremely knowledgeable and yet humble! Dr. Rastogi told me that one of the key responsibilities of Homeopath teachers is to teach Classical Homeopathy in such practical manner to avoid scaring off students toward so called ├óÔé¼┼ômodern homeopathy├óÔé¼┬Ø. One of his quotes is: ├óÔé¼┼ôThe term Modern-Homeopathy is a misnomer. I like to practice Homeopathy in consonance with the teachings of Hahnemann, Boenninghausen, Kent and Boger.├óÔé¼┬Ø Peace be upon him! Condolences to his beloved family. Iman and ILH Team. !
