Physiological Materia Medica: Has three special centers of action: 1. Cerebro-spinal system Intermitten and Bilious fever. 2. Stomach and Small intestine Congestion, secretions, atony. 3. Liver and spleen congestion hypertrophy, anemic. It is a cerebro spinal remedy of great value in the treatment of intermittents, stands second after sulphate of quinine In sporadic and endemic intermittents, will cure absolutely every case, but in epidemic malarial intermittents will fail in the majority of the cases. Resembles China in its action and cases suppressed by China Clinical: Headache, dull, head numb, intermittent fever, affections of liver, lumbago, malaria, malarial anemia.
