REMEDY OF THE DAY: The PULSATILLA PRATENSIS CHILD
Borland D.M. Children’s Types Group IV Warm-blooded
There are two types of children One is the very small, fine
type with a fine skin, fine hair, unstable circulation, liable to
flush up from any emotion, very often going pale afterwards,
shy, sensitive, affectionate, very easy to handle and always
very responsible.
The other type is much fatter with more color, dark hair,
sluggish in reaction, tend to weep rather than to be bright and
gay as the smaller, finer type, caves attention without much
response to it, and always demanding little more.
The COMMON factor is the temperature reaction, they are
sensitive to heat, they flag into hot weather, lose their liveliness
lose their sparkle and energy, become irritable, with digestive
upsets. they often get an attack of acute sickness or diarrhea
from being chilled in hot weather.
Tend to get cystitis, earache. Sudden chilling during hot
weather causes their troubles. They are upset when taking
ice cream in hot weather, factor that is common as the
ordinary Pulsatilla aggravation from too rich food.
they get acute colds, coryza with shivers and chilliness
with gastric catarrh, nausea, and may actually vomit.
They are apt to get conjunctivitis, with sensitiveness to
cold draught, and water profusely in the open air with
marked photophobia with itching eyelids, affecting the
lower rather than the upper lid.
Earache are intense usually brought on from exposure to
cold, violent pain, which spread all over the side of the face,
as well as into throat. They feel something bursting out of
the ear, as if something were pressing right through the ear
drum, and amelioration from cold applications.
The Puls. child is often tired, edgy and sleepy during the day
they become lively as the day goes on, specially bedtime,
are slow in going to sleep, get nightmares, terrors, strife
dreams, chased by black dog, afraid of dark, and left alone.
Listening to ghost stories produce night terror in these
children. they are liable to become giddy from looking up at
anything high, and also Argentum nitricum which has
an aggravation from looking down, and looking up but much
more marked in PULSATILLA CHILDREN.
The Pulsatilla Child often lies with the hands above the
head and this is a useful point.
Influenza discharge of yellowish-green fetid mucus, loss
of appetite and sense of taste, head heavy and embarassed.
worse at evening and by warmth of a room, with stooping
of the nose, absence of thirst, chilliness in the evening,
better in open air. Use 30C pelets every two hours
